What: A Christmas Carol 
Who: Ages 8+, no experience necessary, all races, ethnicities,            and genders welcomed

When: Young Actors: October 6; 6:30 - 8:30pm
            Adults: October 7 & 8; 6:30 - 8:30pm
            Callbacks, if needed, will be October 8

PLEASE NOTE: When filling out your audition application, please list any known conflicts. Conflicts, outside of the weeks of performances, will not exclude you from being cast. This information is needed to create rehearsal schedules.

The Details:
Auditions will be held at Evergreen's rehearsal space located at
​1662 Morrow St, Green Bay.
Auditions will consist of cold readings from the provided script.  Contact the  director, Mike Palubicki with any questions or to request a preview copy of the script.

Rehearsals:
Rehearsals will begin October 13 and run Mondays - Thursdays, 6:45 - 8:30pm. There will be no rehearsal the Wednesday before Thanksgiving.

The Story:
​
This faithful adaptation of Charles Dickens' classic tale has been performed several times over the years by Evergreen. Stingy, miser Ebenezer Scrooge  is taken on a transformative journey when he is visited by three spirits. The ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Future try to teach Scrooge the importance of compassion and generosity. But will Scrooge learn to be a kinder, more caring person before it is too late and his fate is sealed?

Ebenezer Scrooge: A selfish, bitter, cold-hearted man; hates Christmas; values money above everything else
Jacob Marley: Scrooge’s friend and business partner; died seven years ago
Bob Cratchit: kind & hardworking but poor; employed by Scrooge; family man
Mrs. Cratchit: Bob Cratchit's wife; loving but thinks Bob gets taken advantage of by Scrooge  
​Peter Cratchit: Bob Cratchit's son
Martha Cratchit: Bob Cratchit's daughter
Ned Cratchit: Bob Cratchit's son
Belinda Cratchit: Bob Cratchit's daughter
Tiny Tim: Bob Cratchit's youngest son; is sickly and uses a crutch to help him walk 
Fred: Scrooge’s nephew and only living family; jolly, kind, loves Christmas  
Fred's Wife: wife & host of Fred's Christmas party
Topper: Guest at Fred's party
Nutley: Guest at Fred's party
Emily: Guest at Fred's party
Cora: Guest at Fred's party
Fan (as a child): Scrooge's sister, kind & loving
Young Scrooge: Ebenezer Scrooge as a child
Ghost of Christmas Past: Young, bright spirit; not frightening; represents past Christmases 
Ghost of Christmas Present: Loud, joyful spirit; represents current Christmas; lives in the moment
Ghost of Christmas Future: Dark spirit; does not speak; shows Scrooge a Christmas in the future
Young Man Scrooge: Scrooge as a young man; poor but determined 
Belle: Scrooge's love as a young man
Belle's charges
Fezziwig: Scrooge's first employer; joyful, good businessman; treats workers well
Mrs. Fezziwig: Fezziwig's wife; joyful
Dick Wilkens: Fezziwig's apprentice & friend of Scrooge as a young man
Young Fred
Mrs. Dilber: Scrooge’s housekeeper
Undertaker: citizen of London; prepares bodies for burial
Joe: Citizen of London; thief
