Young Actors Still Needed; Rehearsals Begin September 25
The Community Works Troupe will soon begin rehearsing skits, including skits for Halloween and Christmas. There are no auditions for the Community Works Troupe. Community Work is intended for actors ages 9 and up. No experience is necessary. Rehearsals are usually held Wednesdays or Thursdays from 5-6pm. The Community Works Troupe gives young actors opportunities to perform in non-traditional spaces, honing their acting skills and teaching adaptability. For questions about the Community Works Troupe or to sign up to join, contact Tricia Adams at [email protected].
Evergreen's newest Young Actor's program, the Kids Next Door Community Works Troupe was recently formed to take theater out into the community. Young actors rehearse 1-2 hours a week learning 10-15 minute skits. After rehearsing for a few weeks, the skits are ready to be performed out in the community. Several skits may be performed at any one event. We perform at events, meetings, assisted living facilities, childcare facilities and other places. Some shows and skits are designed for kids and family audiences and others are designer for older audiences.
We are currently looking to book performance dates for the fall. There's no cost to book a performance but donations are always appreciated. To book the KND Community Works Troupe contact Sherrill Revolinski at [email protected].
