Evergreen will be holding a young actors acting workshop during the month of March and April with a showcase performance on May 14 & 15. Young actors, ages 8-18 are invited to participate. This is a multi-day workshop with workshops/rehearsals taking place in the evenings Mondays - Thursdays. Participants will not have to attend every evening but should expect to attend two days a week. Participants will be assigned to groups based on their age, experience, and availability.
All workshops/rehearsals and the showcase will take place at Evergreen's new facility located in the former Keller Elementary building, 1806 Bond St, Green Bay. Participants will work on one-acts, short scenes, and monologues. Pieces might possibly be part of a larger show such as show of fables or ghost stories which groups assigned to one fable or ghost story. This is an intensive workshop, designed to provide more one-on-one instruction than a typical show rehearsal does. The workshop will be led by Evergreen volunteer and director, Tricia Adams. Interested participants are asked to fill out the short interest form which can be found at the link below. This form is in addition to attending the placement auditions which will be held on March 19; 5:00-6:30 at Evergreen, 1806 Bond Street. The form will give the instructor an idea of how many pieces to plan for, auditions will help in deciding how to divide the groups and assign pieces. Anyone interested in participating will be assigned a piece to work on. No prior experience is required. Participants are not required to sign up for an audition time, just show up at 5pm. The interest form will take the place of an traditional Evergreen audition form.
