Character Development Workshop - ages 8-18
May 6-9 & 13-15; 5:00-6:30pm
This 2 week workshop will have students working on acting with one’s whole self. Students will work on fully committing to a role, understanding and interpreting the script, and developing a character’s physical and vocal aspects. Students will work in groups on scenes. Vocal Training Workshop - ages 8-18
May 6-9 & 13-15; 5:00-6:30pm
This 2 week workshop will have students warming up their vocal cords. Join Evergreen to work on your pitch, tone, intonation, and much more. Don't just bring your voice to the stage, learn how to bring your character to the stage through song.

Directing Basics Workshop - ages 18+
May 11; 1pm-4pm & June 15; 1pm-4pm
Join St. Norbert Professor Stephen Rupsch for a two Saturday Directing Basic Workshop. The Directing Workshop is aimed at directors who would like to know more about how to begin the process from pre-auditions through auditions into rehearsals and finally Opening night. We will focus on the practical and aesthetic storytelling facets of directing in the first session. Then meet for the second session and view and discuss scenes that the participants have staged with volunteer actors. The intention is to help new directors understand the various responsibilities of directing in a fun way. After the workshop, participants will be invited to a rehearsal/performance of Theatre Z's Heroes of the Fourth Turning. Limit 10 students.
Lighting Design Workshop - ages 14+
May 6-9; 5pm-6:30
Join Green Bay Community Theater's Production Manager, Kaitlin (Kit) Honkanen to learn about the lighting design. Kit is a recent graduate from the University of Wisconsin - Green Bay with a degree in Technical Theatre/Theatre Design & Technology. Learn about the different types of lamps, the interplay of light, using light to create emotion, reading a lighting plot, hanging lights and light safety and more. Includes learning the lighting design computer program and how to program the light board for a show. Ages 14+; Class limit of 10 students.
Sound Design Workshop - ages 14+
May 13-16; 5pm-6:30
Evergreen Sound Designers Tony Brunette and Tricia Adams lead a workshop designed to introduce new volunteers to the fun of sound effects. Students will learn sources for finding sound effects, licensing music for pre-show and how to work with Qlab, the industry standard for sound design. Students will also learn how to modify sound effects by cutting, looping, adding echo or reverb, adjusting tone & pitch. Will pay particular attention to mixing sound effects and fading sound effects to give the illusion of movement. Class is limited to 10 students.

- Parents may stay for the workshop or drop off students and pick them up. Parents MUST come in and sign their student out before they can leave.
