Giving to Evergreen
Evergreen is an all-volunteer, nonprofit community theater group. What does that mean? It means that we have no paid staff and all of our donations and ticket sales go right back into creating more productions and programs. This also means that we are very grateful for every dollar we receive and very careful about how we spend it. Other than our summer youth classes, we NEVER charge anyone any fee to audition or participate in any of our productions. We believe that the performing arts should be open and accessible to anyone, regardless of income or ability to pay.
We also believe in investing in our future and our community which is why, in 2019, we created a scholarship fund for graduating seniors. If you went to a performance last season, you may have noticed our volunteers selling raffle tickets. All of the profits from the sale of tickets for these raffles go directly to our scholarship fund. In to coming weeks, we will be holding online auctions with the proceeds going directly to next year's scholarship fund.
