Kids Next Door(KND) is Evergreen's young actors drama club.
The name refers back to the original young actors theater program, Next Door Theater. Throughout the year, kids are invited to attend workshops, get-togethers, and special events.

Writing A Script
October 8; 6 -7 pm
Led by Erin Hunsader
Erin Hunsader, is an Author, Publisher and Playwright. Her publishing company, Penbird Press LLC publishes the following genres: Memoir, Funny Fiction, Children's books and educational scripts for schools (coming soon). Erin's musical, Out of the Blue written with Composer, Haesun Suh premiered at the Weidner Center as part of World Premiere Wisconsin (June 2023). She holds a Masters degree from Tisch School of the Arts (NYU).
Penbird Press LLC is now accepting script submissions for their 2nd annual one act play festival. The submission deadline is Sunday, Nov 30, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. The One Act Play Festival is scheduled for Sunday, June 22, 2025!
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
· Playwrights may submit one piece for consideration.
· Playwrights must be between the ages of 13 - 17 (High School category)
· Please limit your cast to a maximum of four actors
· Scripts with minimal set, costume, and prop requirements are preferred.
· We will not accept screenplays or musicals at this time.
· There is a $10 submission fee that will go towards the festival costs
· Cash Prizes to the writers of the 3 plays selected
Penbird Press LLC will publish the winning scripts as well as produce the winning plays. We respond primarily to plays with a sure command of language, that are accessible to a diverse and discerning audience, and clear dramatic action that truly uses the resources of live theatre.

Celebrate the season with holiday games and snacks. Help our community by making tie blankets that will be donated to local shelters.
